The Second Southern Drum Show - 1 June 2003
UK dealer Steve White welcomed drummers from around the UK to the second Southern Drum Show in Southampton on 1 June 2003. It provided an opportunity for dealers, drummers and those with a passing interest, to check out - and buy - some great drums and drum related products.

The fair took place at the Chamberlayne Leisure Centre in Southampton and, after a 6:30 breakfast at the hotel, we headed down to the show to start setting up the stalls.

As usual, there were some fantastic drums on display...
..as well as some of the big names from the UK drum scene such as Tam Rankin (with Val) from the vintage Premier site...
...Len Howe from classicdrums.com and John Good, vintage dealer and all-round good bloke.
But of course, the drums were the stars - from the very old....
...to the more modern.
David Nuttall bought along some of his superb Jalapeno drums. These are all custom built by David himself and sounded - and looked - absolutely stunning.

The highlight of the day was the clinic by Mark Mondesir. He spoke with grace and humility and then proceeded to play like nothing on earth.
A fantastic day was had by all - many thanks to Steve White and all his colleagues for putting the day together.
