Other Acrylic Drums - Zickos

It is generally accepted that Bill Zickos is the grand-daddy of acrylic drums. He began experimenting with acrylic drums shells in 1959 and moved into full production a decade later - the first commercially available acrylic drums. Ron Bushy of Iron Butterfly was the first endorsee in 1969 - acrylic drums had arrived.

After something of a lay-off, Zickos are back in business and are producing better kits than ever. The original Zickos drums are now highly collectable and these drums are owned by Allan Fisher (snare) and Cpt KillDrums (kit).
