Vistalite Collections - Glen Beitzel

I've been playing Ludwigs since 1964, even tough I have to admit, I"ve cheated and have have owned other (inferior? Slingerland, Rogers, Pearl & Yamaha) kits.

I purchased my Pro Beat set in Cleveland, Ohio in the spring of 1974. This set has seen it's use over the years playing in all kinds of bands from rock, country, jazz to the blues!

I added a 15" & 16" set of single headed concert toms in the late 80's that I had found in at Downey Music in Downey, California. I stuffed them with most of the clothes I had taken to prevent scratching, found some old boxes at the local grocery store, made my own shipping cartons and carried them through the airports over my shoulder !! (LOL) What a labor of love!

I still have my complete factory original blue vistalites with no problems of cracking, very few scratches (mostly provided by roadies), or any modifications. Attached is a couple of pics taken onstage at The Crooked River Festival in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio in Sept 2003.
