"I acquired the B/W C pattern kit in the early 90's
from a friend of mine whose wife managed a self storage place and somebody
quit paying rent on a unit. Art, my friend, knew I played so he called me up
and said he had a kit in this unit and asked me if I wanted it. I asked him
to describe them to me and when he did I knew he was talking about
vistalites. I asked him how much and he said $250. I said OK! They came in
their original naugahyde cases with the stock throne and 4 Zildjian cymbals.
The previous owner had even detuned them so they weren't affected by the
cold in northern California. They were in excellent condition and I
immediately began gigging with them and getting lots of comments on them, as
you can imagine."

"I acquired
the Smokes from Guitar Center in Bakersfield California for Mothers Day
2002(my wife is so nice) and the matching snare from Frank V at RCI
Vistalites." |

"My wife then bought the 6.5 R/W C from Frank V for me for
Christmas 2002." |

"I got both of the Supras from a pawn shop for $100!"

"Another
friend of mine had a friend going for a state sponsored vacation and
needed some quick money and a drum set for sale. I went and looked at it and
could tell from the hardware that it was Ludwig, but the shells were covered
with contact paper like you use in kitchen cabinets and I did not know what
condition they were in. I paid $250 and they came with all the hardware and
4 cymbals, Zildjian and Paiste. When I got then home I peeled off the paper
and they were a beautiful black cortex in damn near mint condition. I have
since acquired a 14" and 15" matching toms for the set. I am doing some
recording with a friend of mine with them and they sound beautiful!"
