Vistalite Collections - Charlie Swift

This is a 70's Vista that I rescued from being sent to the trash pile. I found the five pieces including a 14"-snare, 22"-bass, 12" & 13" &16" toms with all the hoops and lugs and purchased them for $150.00 (US). The set had been in storage lost in a warehouse of a small music store in NW Oregon, USA and was in terrible shape. After reviewing your website and reading many articles on restoring the drums I began to "polish" the drums to see what was under the dust, paint and several large scratches. This took me approximately 4-months to remove all the lugs (I did not remove the gold/olive badges with sound holes) and I used the 3-step Novis Polish products.

I play this set out in clubs around Portland, Oregon and I love the sound and conversations about it. I have to find some wood hoops with inlays to make the set complete. I have also been buying Atlas stands and have purchased a Speed King pedal and hope to try and make the whole kit Ludwig.
