Scotland Tour - August 2005The bike loaded up and ready to go.
The journey from Manchester to Applecross was 450 miles and took about 11 hours. We took frequent breaks.
Quite by chance, we met Rory and Tanya in Applecross. We celebrated at the pub.....
....and I suffered the following day.
Neil and I went for a walk and Neil found a stone to sit on.
The bikes had a day off at Applecross campsite.
Sunset over the Sound of Raasay
The Isle of Skye (in the distance) taken from the top of Bealach na Ba
Me and bike on the top of Bealach na Ba....
....and the road down from Bealach na Ba
The Outer Hebrides seen from the west side of the Isle of Skye
The amazing curved Kylesku Bridge
Lots of low cloud formations rolling in off the north atlantic resulted in stunning light at the Durness campsite.
More low clouds at the Durness campsite.
Sandy bays and clear blue water....it must be the North Atlantic!
Neil and I got to the edge of the MoD firing range at Cape Wrath - we couldn't go any further without the possibility of getting very bombed !
Taking a break on Strath Moor as we start the long journey South.
